Holiday Open House, 12/7
First Street merchants along with Benicia Main Street and the City of Benicia host this ever-popular Holiday Open House at the beginning of the Christmas Season on December 7th from 6 to 9 pm. First Street is closed to traffic allowing revelers to visit merchants offering beverages and treats and showing off their holiday goods while costumed carolers sing traditional Christmas tunes. Live entertainment, wagon rides, and the Christmas Tree lighting add a festive atmosphere to this family event.
Christmas Parade and Holiday Market, 12/15
The City of Benicia always does an amazing Parade and Holiday Market every December and this year it's on Saturday the 15th. In its 24th year, the Christmas Parade & Holiday Market takes over First Street with holiday cheer at 10 am, as it brings the holiday spirit to everyone along route.
The parade starts at First and D Streets and ends at H Street, featuring local marching bands, dancers, and the much anticipated Santa Claus himself. The parade is followed by the Holiday Market at First & D Streets and features handcrafted arts & crafts, gourmet items and delicious foods.
The Holiday Market features handcrafted and gourmet gift items at great prices. It runs from 10 am to 3 pm and is located on First Street between B and D Streets.
